I woke up

to sunlight
and slid through the day like silk and water
easy as blinking, when i keep everything at an arm's length
and it's tuesday and i'm mentally skipping weeks ahead
looking for landmarks
when really i know i'm cheating myself out of Now
But i'm new mackenzie and I don't really care
because if life isn't a flawless soap bubble
